The Youth Services Council is a strategic planning body for youth issues and programs. It promotes and participates in the development of a school-to-work system that connects all youth to employment and training opportunities. The Youth Services Council develops the portion of the five-year strategic plan relating to youth. It recommends eligible youth service providers and conducts oversight of WIA Youth, K-12 Youth, and other WDB youth programs.

K-12 Youth

Our K-12 Youth program provides a number of career training and exploration exercises tailored to the unique needs of age levels spanning Kindergarten through the 12th grade. Click here for more.

WIA Youth

Fox Valley Workforce Development Board (FVWDB), through cooperation with its partners, provides youth within our seven counties an opportunity to participate in the WIA Youth Program. The Program has many benefits. Participants gain valuable work experience, have access to career exploration opportunities, and gain resources for further academic development such as completing high school or obtaining a GED/HSED, advanced training, and enrollment into post secondary education. They also learn about the resources that the community and the Workforce Development Centers have to offer. Click here for more.
